Nikki Amare is a pen name I created in order to publish my work.
WHY ARE YOU USING A PEN NAME?
I choose to use a pen name for a couple reasons.
- One reason being my “real” name isn’t as common as say John Smith, but it is a rather common name. When I Google it about a dozen or more different people pop up with the same name, and someone already owns the domain. As an author, having the name you write under as your website domain name is important.
- Another reason is to protect my family’s privacy. While I have chosen to put myself in the public eye, they have not, and I would hate for my actions to have any adverse effects on them.
With that being said… Nikki Amare is a pen name, but the person behind the name is very real. It is not a persona or a character I play, it is simply ME with a different name.

WHY AREN’T YOUR BOOK AVAILABLE ON AMAZON’S KINDLE UNLIMITED (KU)?
Amazon requires authors to be exclusive to their platform in order for their books to be listed in their Kindle Unlimited program. Meaning, authors in KU can only sell their books on Amazon.
And while I realize a lot of people use KU, and similar subscription programs, I prefer to have my books available on as many platforms and listed with as many retailers as possible.
WHY ARE YOUR BOOKS PRICED SO HIGH?
I put a lot of time and money into writing and publishing a book. While I have no problems doing giveaways and promotional sales, or even having the first book in a series discounted, the prices for my books are listed based on the total word count.
- Short Story(10k and under): Free-$.99 USD
- Novella (10k-40K): $2.99 USD
- Novel (50k-100k): $3.99-$4.99 USD
- Super Novel (100K and over): $4.99-$5.99 USD
For books that are with a publisher rather than self-published, I have no control over the pricing or anything else other than the contents of the story itself.
WHERE CAN I FIND YOUR BOOKS?
My ebooks are available on all major ebook retailers: Apple Books, Kobo, Nook, Amazon, and Google Play.

I used to have several social media accounts. In early 2022, I decided to step away from social media and concentrate more on writing and family.
