IS NIKKI AMARE YOUR REAL NAME?

Nikki Amare is a pen name I created in order to publish my work.

WHY ARE YOU USING A PEN NAME?

I choose to use a pen name for a couple reasons.

  • One reason being my "real" name isn't as common as say John Smith, but it is a rather common name. When I Google it about a dozen or more different people pop up with the same name, and someone already owns the domain. As an author, having the name you write under as your website domain name is important.
  • Another reason is to protect my family's privacy. While I have chosen to put myself in the public eye, they have not, and I would hate for my actions to have any adverse effects on them. 

With that being said… Nikki Amare is a pen name, but the person behind the name is very real. It is not a persona or a character I play, it is simply ME with a different name.

WHY AREN'T YOU ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

I used to have several social media accounts. In early 2022, I decided to step away from social media and concentrate more on writing, my health, and family.

DO YOU REALLY WRITE ALL OF YOUR BOOKS?

The obvious answer is: Yes. I write all of my books myself. From the first word to the last, all of them are mine. I use editors to help me catch errors and to improve my story, but the ideas and the words on the page are one hundred percent my own.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TEA?

I enjoy a variety of teas. Some teas I drink on a seasonal basis. Sometime I find a tea that seems to fit a story or a series and that unintentionally becomes the tea for that word

In general, however, my favorite teas are:

  1. Harney & Sons—Hot Cinnamon Spice
  2. Irish Breakfast tea. (I'm not as picky on the brand when it comes to this blend.)

Those are my two go-to teas and usually what is in my cup about 85% of the time.
